Aerial Workshops at Dunblane April – June 2025
Saturday 26th April 12:45-2:45pm – Aerial Dance Trapeze Adam Wright
Adam Wright is returning to Dunblane for a dance trapeze workshop (with brand new movement and technical challenges). The workshop will not only give a complete dance trapeze sequence but look at how we can alter and play with choreographed movement to make it more individual and find greater enjoyment in it.
Pre-Requisites: This class is suitable for improver to advanced as Adam will offer variations (not suitable for absolute beginners). It is ok if you are confident on hoop, silks or rope but have not done trapeze before.
£28.50 for 2 hour workshop

Saturday 24th May – Aerial Dance Harness with Marie Williamson
During these workshops we will be moving in a harness and learning how to use gravity and momentum to travel through space. We will be wearing a climbing harness and suspended by a single rope line and discovering our own movements, as well as learning choreography.
12:45-2:15pm – Beginner Aerial Dance Harness
This class will be for anyone who is curious about aerial dance harness or vertical dance but hasn’t done it before. We will learn how to move in the harness and gain confidence in ourselves to move on and off-centre point, as well as explore the different ways to move & dance in harness. Absolute beginners welcome!
2:30-4:00pm Improver Aerial Dance Harness
Those who have done at least one harness session before – we will learn to ascend the lines and move in the air, as well as lower to the ground. With a partner, whether that be the ground, the rope or another human we will find new ways to find movement in the air.
These sessions will be led by Marie Williamson, a dancer, aerialist and vertical dancer who has been teaching & performing with All or Nothing for 10 years. Her vertical dance performances have included Edinburgh Hogmanay, Enchanted Forest, Commonwealth Games, and Paisley Halloween. As a neurodivergent dancer, her main focus is to make sure everyone feels able to do aerial and specialises in accessible & inclusive aerial programmes.
£22.50 for 90 min workshop
For this session, please wear layers around the thighs, hips and stomach, as well as shoes you can move in. There is an option to spin, but not necessary.

Saturday 21st June 12:45-2:45pm – Aerial Rope with Grace Turner
In this workshop Grace will be exploring all things vertical on both Silks and Rope (verticals is the term used for apparatus that goes from the ceiling to the floor). Travelling up and rolling down the equipment, learning how to balance, find places of rest and seeing what moves are transferable between these two pieces of equipment. We’ll also look at beats and how to develop dynamic qualities on vertical equipment.
Intermediate Level Aerialists – this workshop is NOT suitable for beginners. You need to be able to climb to 4 meters easily, do a reliable footlock, hiplock and invert in the air.
£28.50 for 2 hour workshop
