Silks Workshop with Emma Poole.
This workshop explores wrappy sequences and finding fluidly in the air. The first part of the workshop will be learning fabric choreography which has been developed from researching different ways of wrapping the fabric. This choreography looks at sequences from different starting points and avoiding familiar shapes to generate unique movement. The second part of the workshop allows participants to explore ways of creating their own material in the air. Through puzzles and problem solving games students are encouraged to play with new wraps and positions delving into finding their signature in the air.
Students need to be comfortable inverting in the air to attend this session.
