Youth Arts Open Fund Award

Lift Off!

Last year we were delighted to have been awarded funding from the Youth Arts Open Fund for our Lift Off project, with the aim to increase and widen access to aerial activities in 3 different communities where we work.

We’ll be running taster sessions and introducing new participants into two existing projects, our work with SCORE Scotland at Whale Arts in West Edinburgh, and Creatability : aerial dance for young people who are neurodivergent and/or have a physical disabilities at the Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock. For the first time will include a taster session in Dunoon, a quick hop over the water from the Beacon.

Lift Off Leith is our third community strand as part of this award, and we can’t wait to bring more young people to our base at Out of the Blue Drill hall in Leith. Over the next few months we will be introducing aerial through a series of taster workshops to young people that live in the local area.

Look out for more news and updates on how Lift Off takes off and please do get in touch if you’re interested in finding out more.

Lift Off has been made possible with funding from the Youth Arts Open Fund Award from Creative Scotland and the Scottish Government. We’re pleased to be partnering with Out of the Blue, Score Scotland, Whale Arts, Beacon Arts Centre and Waterbaby Dance.
