We are delighted to welcome Emili Åström to our team as Executive Producer. Emili brings a wealth of experience to All or Nothing and will have a key role in helping us grow and develop with our Multi Year Funding from Creative Scotland.
Emili joins All or Nothing as an arts administrator with over a decade of experience in dance and performing arts. She loves to be working in the background to ‘make things happen’ and is passionate about supporting artists and participants alike to realise their creative potential. She has worked for Dance Base, Creative Scotland, Starcatchers and at Edinburgh College of Art. Before moving to Scotland, she worked on the Dance for PD® programme at Mark Morris Dance Centre in New York and has also taught and facilitated dance projects for all ages for Rambert. She has worked as a freelance Producer for dance artist and teacher Kerry Nicholls, has worked to bring dance and theatre to patients on wards at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and volunteered with Chickenshed Theatre. Emili originally trained in dance at Rambert School and this practical background continues to inform her work.
Anne Gallacher, Chair of the Board said: “I am delighted to welcome Emili Åström as Executive Producer of All or Nothing Aerial Dance Theatre. Emili brings huge expertise as a producer and an in-depth knowledge of the dance sector in Scotland, both of which will be invaluable to the company. In Emili and Jennifer Paterson, the company’s founding Artistic Director, we have a skilled, passionate and committed leadership team, and I am excited to see where Jen and Emili’s leadership takes All or Nothing’s programme over the coming years.”
Emili said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining the All or Nothing team at this hugely exciting moment for the company. Jen Paterson has created something amazing and it will be a privilege to be part of an organisation that not only champions artists and creates breath-taking performance work, but also foregrounds inclusive, accessible opportunities for anyone to try out and train in aerial dance. I’m excited to contribute to the company’s next phase and be part of the continued development of aerial dance here in Scotland and beyond.”
