Our amazing students selected for prestigious national circus training programme
18 November 2024
We are delighted that two of our youth performance students have been accepted onto the National Centre for Circus Arts’ Centre for Advanced Training Scheme.
This is a year long opportunity for those aged 11 to 18 who demonstrate exceptional potential in performing and circus arts. For All or Nothing it’s an exciting development in what we can offer our young people to further develop their talents.
Mari who is part of Level Up Edinburgh, and Alixe from Level Up Dunblane, along with two students from Aerial Art House, have formed the Edinburgh contingent of the scheme. All or Nothing in collaboration with Aerial Art House have been approved as the Edinburgh External Centre and will provide the local training programme for the students.
Mari said “This is an incredible opportunity and I can’t wait to expand my aerial skills”.
The young people will train locally with the benefit of specific extra classes and mentoring. They will also go down to London three times a year for holiday intensives, working with professional circus artists and other young people from across the UK.
Their first intensive was led by Lina from Mimbre, an acrobatic theatre company, and they also got to see Revel Puck Circus while in London.
We can’t wait to be part of their incredible circus journey over the next year.
