One of All or Nothing’s strategic aims is to develop, challenge and extend aerial dance as an art form in Scotland. One of the ways we are doing this is to organise subsidised workshops for professional dancers and aerialists in partnership with Dance Base, Scotland’s National Centre for Dance.

In 2024 we facilitated a series of workshops led by some of the most talented aerial artists working in the UK. These were open to dancers who want to develop aerial skills and aerialists who want to develop their practice. The range of techniques taught was broad, covering many different aerial and circus skills:

Workshops will continue next year with a session on harness dance techniques with Chrissie Ardill and Beverley Grant on 28th January and dynamic hoop with Freya Pellie on 4th March. These sessions will be available to book on Dance Base’s website.

If you are a professional aerialist and have an idea for a workshop or would like to lead one please get in touch with our Artistic Director, Jen Paterson, on jen@aerialdance.co.uk.
